I had the same expression on my face when I heard Wale’s album
In lieu of Wale’s “Attention Deficit” failing to deliver amidst all the hype you might as well bump Johnny Blaze’s Baltimore remix of “Good Girls”-the track that created the Wale movement 2-3 years ago.
The Baltimore legend gives what was a shimmering go-go track a 180 degree overhaul via the signature pounding found in Baltimore Club alongside touches of bubbling percussion, all resulting in a sublime rap song becoming an urgent club smash.

It’s been a rocky relationship between myself and these two. At first they where creating some of favorite rap records ever (“Resurrection”, “Soul Food”, and later “BE” and “Soul Machine”) but then they both fell off hard.
Not in the “damn, homie that was a so-so album” but in a “damn you did a song with The Jonas Bros and made Gnarls Barkley”. Anyways, here they are together making a song I’m not mad it. A catchy hybrid of pop, new wave, soul, and electronic music.
